Reporting to CEO, Linda Bowyer, Caitlin expertly manages First's impact portfolio, overseeing greenhouse gas accounting and reduction efforts, community funding programs, strategic community partnerships, employee engagement in First's impact work and community volunteerism, and cross-functional collaboration and special projects. She creates annual impact operations planning and quarterly and annual reporting, inspires employees and members with impact story sharing and contributes to strategic planning. She spearheads First's B-Corp re-certification process, leads the FCU sustainability team, sits on the DEI working group and is a member of the Canadian Credit Union Association's national impact working group and climate action working group.

The Social Impact Specialist develops and coordinates an annual social impact strategy with the VP of Social Impact and Marketing. Works closely with both internal and external stakeholders to amplify social impact initiatives that use a systems lens for social change and bring the organization's purpose to 'empower through knowledge to life.

Responsible for programming CityScape Community Art Space and managing the Art in Community Programme which consists of three addition exhibition spaces; the City Atrium Gallery, District Foyer Gallery and District Library Gallery. Over 25 visual art exhibitions during a calendar year, regular calls for artists and activation of the NVCAC spaces with artist talks, school groups and artistic or professional development workshops and free community drop-ins. Supervised all aspects of the creation and distribution of promotional materials, curation and installation of artwork and opening receptions. Supervised volunteers, auxiliary staff and contractors and handle sales, contractor invoices, artist contracts and other financial and administrative aspects related to exhibitions in the various venues.

Reporting to Micheal Boucher, Director, Cultural Programs, I coordinated production aspects such as venue, marketing and promotions, films selection, front of house and, most importantly, SFU community partnerships.

On behalf of SFUW front of house and productions teams, I liaised with the Western Arts Alliance (WAA) executive, administrative, and production teams ensuring the success of both the WAA Indigenous and Juried Showcases' at the Goldcorp Centre for the Arts. Both productions were technically complex and presented to a audience of premiere arts presenters and programmers from Canada, Western USA, and Australia.

Reporting to the Director of Cultural Programs to aid in the development and presentation of professional cultural events at SFU’s Goldcorp Centre for the Arts I worked both independently and with a team to develop event plans for multiple, concurrent events including internal productions, co-presentations, and cultural partnership presentations, by producing and distributing schedules, supporting curatorial decisions, engaging in ongoing communications with partners and creative production teams and unions. My administrative duties include; coordination of the Director of Cultural Programs schedule; creating and maintaining files on all events, in various stages of production; administering the contract process; and coordination of contract negotiations, budget reconciliations and post-event evaluations. *Special projects have included but are not limited to: Associate Producer, Bah! Humbug!; Host and Sub-Host Committee support for the Western Arts Alliance (WAA) Conference 2015; and Project Coordinator, Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) & SFU Woodward's Cross Campus Initiative 2014.

-Engaged like-minded community groups with mandates concerning; sustainable environmental practices, youth in theatre and the arts, agriculture and public green space, and social and environmental activism. -Coordinated outreach to the surrounding neighbourhood community groups, business improvement associations, and stakeholders. -Wrote a successful $25,000 Canada Council for the Arts grant.

During my time at The Cultch I produced the monthly E-Zine and wrote for social media and blog posts. I conducted community outreach and promotions, initiating and facilitating successful cross-promotional relationships with like-minded organizations. I directly supported patrons and managed the RSVP and VIP invite lists. Administratively, I created marketing best practice documents for rental clients, managed the media legacy library binders, and maintained patron data. I also conducted resource development research and wrote a successful grant to the Canada Arts Council for the Connect the Plots! Youth Theatre Project.

As a support worker I assisted individuals, families, health professionals, and management to develop and implement individual care plans. The care plans included specific medical concerns, dietary restrictions, fitness regiments, as well as personal goals and interests. I supported clients to pursue activities, community groups, and social circles to which they were drawn and regularly supported folks on various outings. I also engaged in rigorous documentation and clear and objective written and verbal communications on a daily basis.

As a part of the Powell River Film Festival, the Malaspina Art Society was asked to produce a visual arts exhibition during the 2012 Film Festival. As the Coordinator & Curator I was responsible for coordinating artists submissions, marketing and promotions, and staffing for the four day event.

Coordinating the vendors and floor of the LCS's largest annual fundraising event, the Lund Craft Fair, I managed the call for submission and intake process, collected vendor dues and coordinated venue layout and decor.

I started at Trendessence, a co-operatively run clothing and textile arts retail store front, as the main sales associate. After a time I began sourcing and selling BC artisan produced fashions and textile arts as a sole proprietor via my Community Futures supported small business, Small Pond Apparel. I continued to be the lead sales associate for the co-op members and organized various pop-up events, sold coop goods at local artisan markets, and instigated and managed the below mentioned fashion show fundraiser for the Bruce Denniston Bone Marrow Society.

While I was with PRACL I spent time both as a contracted Support Worker with Family Services and as a casual Support Worker with programs such as Life Skills, Cross Roads Youth, and Residential. I greatly value the skills, experiences and relationships that I was able to develop with PRACL.
