Bryant Mason is an actor, director, producer, playwright, Certified Sommelier and hospitality professional now living in Tacoma, Washington. New York acting credits include Night Over Taos, directed by Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons, the world premiere of Eduardo Machado’s Kissing Fidel, the original production of Acts of Mercy by Michael John Garcés, and the title role in New York Classical Theatre’s production of Macbeth, as well as the world premiere of Karan Zacharias' original adaptation of How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents at the RoundHouse Theatre in Washington DC. He has played the title role in The Odyssey written and directed by Nobel Prize winner Derek Walcott, in collaboration with the Trinidad Theatre Workshop and the St. Lucia Center for Culture and the Arts. Regional Theatre work includes Seattle Repertory Theatre, Dallas Theatre Center, Geva Theatre, Yale Repertory Theatre, Texas Shakespeare Festival, Creede Repertory Theatre and the Asolo Theatre Company—where he won Best Actor in the world premiere of Maxwell Anderson’s Free and Clear starring opposite Emmy Award winner and Tony nominee Polly Holiday. He has performed and developed scripts with New York Theatre Workshop, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Atlantic Theatre Company, The Lark, Youngbloods, The Culture Project, Rattlestick Playwright’s Theatre, Intar, MultiStages, No Passport Theatre Alliance, Ma-Yi, NAATCO, Theatre for the New City, Summer Play Festival, Mile Square Theatre Company, Primary Stages, Sounding Theatre Company, New York University, Columbia University, Boston University, and taxdeductibletheatre. He has a BA from the University of Dallas and an MFA in Acting from the Florida State University/Asolo Conservatory. He is a published playwright and a proud member of Actors Equity Association.
