In this role I participated in fieldwork directly with Fish and Wildlife Refuges across the Pacific Northwest for 16 weeks. Using ESRI Field Maps and Survey 123 my co-worker and I collected line data as well as point data that contained information on the trails condition and overall measurement's. This data was added to the USFWS's larger trail inventory.

As a contractor, I worked through reading Resource Management Plans for the Bureau of Land Management and the United Forest Service to understand oil and gas stipulations in 7 western states. Stipulations were then organized into a master document for the organization to use for future guidance in oil and gas policy.

As a GIS Intern I assisted on a Conservation Strategy to help determine where future efforts should be made to help protect and conservation of a specific species of trout. Using a scoring system that was already put in place by the company I was able to analyze 102 watersheds and then work with the company to determine where the strategy was lacking and.
