Killer cows, stop motion horror films and reenacting scenes from Neighbours were all pretty standard. Definitely silly, low quality and bizarre, but looking back now there was an eye present for finding something interesting. I always remind myself of what I created when I was young, in a world of complete innocence, without scrutiny and without distractions about production value. It was all about an interesting story from a unique and playful perspective. No nail biting over how well lit a shot was, or wondering ‘is this too weird?’ or ‘has this been done before’. I always remind myself, that away from all the expensive lenses and forever increasing resolution, there needs to exist that story; that human story and that emotional hook.I count myself very fortunate to now direct Round 3 with Vidad, a great friend and long time collaborator from film school. Our styles are different, but when we meet in the middle, combine our ideas and styles together, magic happens. And with all the amazing crew, editors, animators and creatives we are lucky enough to work with, our resolve always remains the same; to tell great, interesting stories! Round 3 is our passion and is a mixture of client work that we’re always really proud of, and the personal projects we feel inspired to share with the world.Humans want to be captivated. I don’t want to be bored making content nor do I want to bore you with my content. There is a unique story in everything. If you’ve got the desire for an interesting story, we just need to find it and your audience’s engagement with follow. And once we’ve found it, and we add the professional skills and creative whiz bang we have access to, we’re guaranteed to make something really exceptional.
