• Follows all written procedures in departmental SOP • Perform extractions to be analyzed by GC/LC/MS and HPLC according to SOP’s• Interpret chromatogram according to lab standards • Perform scheduled instrument preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting • Prepare reagent checks and record quality control values for each batch and notify Supervisor and/or Group Lead if unacceptable results are obtained• Complete all required quality control and/or quality assurance documentation related to job function

• Perform qualitative analyses of chemical substances utilizing chemicals, and instrumental methods that's include GC-MS • Maintain the appropriate chain of custody of evidence • Validate Reagents, controls and calibrators • Perform two layer extractions with blood, serum, plasma, urine and tissue samples.• Familiar with many extraction procedures including SPE, liquid-liquid, derivitizing, vortexing, aspiration, and centrifugation.
