I have successfully written and published a book of non-fiction, "Letters from the Box in the Attic, a Story of Courage, Survival and Love", available for purchase on Amazon.com. This is World War II story of my mother's, a journey from her family home in Poland, a war time arrest for patriotic activity, time in two prisons and a Soviet gulag, work camp. What happens to a young woman once she is released from these prisons during war time? With a life full of haunting memories, I explore all the challenges my mother had trying to live a normal life after such experiences while living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. This research project took me to Warsaw, Poland several times. the Hoover Institution in Stanford, CA, and Kosiv, Ukraine, as well as many inquiries into archival records throughout Eastern Europe and Great Britain.
