I am a computational microbiologist with over a decade of experience managing and analyzing large, complex, multi-omic datasets, particularly shotgun metagenomes from the human gut microbiome. My work focuses on building bioinformatic and statistical tools to derive actionable insights from microbial communities, applying machine learning, and implementing robust and reproducible analysis workflows.With 8 peer-reviewed publications and over 1300 citations, my software has supported both clinical and basic research worldwide. I’ve led cross-disciplinary scientific collaborations and led the Gladstone Postdoc Advisory Committee, fostering scientific community and innovation.Beyond research, I have taught Python and computational skills to scientists, mentored graduate students, and actively promoted access to STEM careers for underrepresented groups.
