Was assigned a prompt by Geisinger Health to engage in ways for outreach with suburban and metropolitan areas. Geisinger is more rural based, so the challenge was finding ways to integrate their knowledge pertaining to rural health and the need for the new environment of the city and suburban areas. The team placed 4th overall and was commended for their extensive research in showcasing food insecurity programs that could be combined with other programs Geisinger already had to better impact on the community that was to be served.

Selected as 1 of 20 At-Large Representatives to represent the student body. Sitting on the Student Life board, I advocated and got student insurance approved and accessible for all students through Penn State. My advocacy was also to promote mental health awareness, positive stigmas surrounding safe sex, HIV/STD testing, and healthy partner relationships. I also advocated for better hair products to accommodate all students at Penn State, specifically the black population. In addition to this, funding for the National Panhellenic Council as well as for black student run organizations were priorities of mine when speaking with UPAC funding.
