My job involves showcasing the true potential of the Azure Cloud Platform and streamlining the Azure adoption journey of the clients. In my role, I work on building and delivering solution offerings that assist enterprises in embracing and consuming Azure Cloud services. These engagements include assessing on-premises environments for Azure compatibility to helping clients optimize existing workloads in Azure by leveraging the principles of Microsoft’s published Well-Architected Framework. • Provide guidance on the adoption of Azure PaaS Services.• Work and lead projects on migrating business applications and workloads to Azure or leveraging Azure as a DR site.• Guide clients to streamline Azure operations by leveraging Azure automation and other techniques to optimize operations in Azure.• Work closely with the security team to define and deploy security strategies, including adopting Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Defender for Endpoints, and security SIEM solutions like Microsoft Sentinel.• Guide clients to correctly select and adopt Azure Cloud PC options, including Azure Virtual Desktop and W365 cloud PC, thus helping in Modern Workplace modernization efforts.• Conduct POC of both Cloud PC technologies and assist with the broader rollout of Cloud PC solutions in client environments.Apart from the Azure work, I also lead the SQL Server business at AMTRA

These engagements include doing workshops with clients to educate them on the best practices and setting the network to extend their data center network into Azure.• I have worked with clients to extend their DR data centers in Azure.• Performed high-level SQL Server reviews and preparing long term (3-years) roadmap for multiple clients having up to 500 SQL instances.• Work as a trusted advisor to clients to review and provide guidance on optimizing their database assets.

This was a short term consulting project for one of Procom's Client wherein I was involved in reviewing current inventory of SQL Server in the client's environment, and then prepare a road map for next 3 years on how they should go ahead with server consolidation. This client had over 350 SQL Server instances in their environment.

As part of Data Center & Cloud Migration Team I work on end to end discovery, planning and migration of workloads from client data centers to IBM Softlayer cloud with usage of tools like Rackware, Racemi and Appzero etc. This work included leading a team of Cloud Migration Consultants and ensuring that the work on the projects was done as per defined plan and scope.I was last involved in performing leading a project for Data Center discovery and affinity mapping for client's infrastructure and business applications across multiple data centers.

As a team lead, I was responsible for managing 25-32 DBAs running offshore operations for 18 IBM clients across Europe and North America. This role involved: • Working directly with client stakeholders to provide managed service operation and project updates, handle any client escalations and review upcoming projects. • Working with the team members to ensure the smooth running of database operations, technical growth plan as part of their career growth plan. • Ensuring all IBM policies were being effectively implemented by the team members, including following guidelines for regular checks on Access and Security, Change Management etc.• I also liaised with the account teams in IBM to forecast and meet staffing requirements based on the client’s additional resource requirements for projects outside the scope of defined managed services. I gained valuable experience for handling offshore database operations during this role.

Microsoft SQL Server product support team is responsible for delivering support for all Microsoft customers. This team uses in-depth knowledge of the SQL Server products and works on timely and high quality incident resolution focusing on root cause analysis, prevention, and knowledge transfer. My key responsibilities:• My primary goal is to support Microsoft’s Premiere and 3rd Tier clients over phone and web sessions on SQL 7, SQL 2000, 2005, 2008/R2, 2012 and SQL Azure databases.• This includes working on issues ranging from SQL Server Installation/Patching, Server/Database Administration, Database Corruption, High Availability/Disaster recovery solutions and Performance issues. • Engagement with SQL Escalation Teams who further coordinate with SQL Product Team to file bugs in the SQL product and help role out fixes for any product issues that are determined during the course of our troubleshooting.• Provide Technical trainings, mentorship and triages to new hires to get them onboard.• Write internal documentation in form of internal Knowledge Base Articles based on real time troubleshooting scenarios which can later be used for guidance by other engineers in similar situations.
