About Benjamin Taller

I love to experiment and create with technology. Creation is expression. It really is wonderful to work with a team to create something amazing, and see it running around the world alive. When I was ten years old I asked my dad where video games came from. The next day he bought me a QBASIC book. that started my journey into making my own games.Fast forward 30 years I've taught classes in VR at makeschool SF, worked at tech giants like Zynga and Sony and even sat in a real T-60 tank at Wargaming HQ.The game industry is one of the most challenging and rewarding industries in the world. I enjoy solving complicated problems and building rich user experiences. The best part about my job is the people. The game industry is filled with creative, interesting, and talented people. My favorite books: Head First Design Patterns, Clean Code, and Refactoring. Clean code is paramount in software architecture. Messes are impossible to maintain. Solutions should be short, simple, and concise. Specialties: C# Development, Unity Development, Video Game Development, Object Oriented Software Architecture, Design Patterns, UI Design and development, Mobile Game Developmentbackend development with PHP, NodeJS, Typescript and C#backend REST architecture and emphasis on security regardless of platform.DevOps AWS cloud formation, ec2, s3, kinesis, Athena, CloudFront, git, github hooks, automation and deployment.Thinking outside the box to find creative and new ways to compress, optimize and organize information.

Listed skills include Game Development, Game Design, Video Games, Flash, and 46 others.
