Helping others has always been a driving factor for me, particularly when choosing my career path. Aiding individuals and driving them towards their desired aims, wants and/or needs is something I find great passion in doing. What started as being known as the friend ‘with good advice’ became me helping individuals with complex physical and psychiatric needs. Over the last 6 years of my working life, I have been able to gain and develop skills in research, data analysis, clinical and forensic psychiatric rehabilitation, psychometrics, leadership and communication. I believe that the strongest work forces are those that not only empower one another, but those that feel connected and driven by each other and the work they are doing. I believe a strong work force is created through equal opportunity and having access to training, workshops and reflective practice. Along with my experience in care and psychology, I have been fortunate to work with and along side those that are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. This has allowed me to develop skills in British Sign Language and an understanding of the Deaf community and culture.
