I've been designing mobile and web apps for almost two decades. I've led teams in various settings, including client-focused agencies, lean and growth-oriented startups, and medium to large enterprises. This has given me a wide range of experience in product design in varying contexts, requiring different processes, adaptive thinking, and contextual pragmatism. But, most importantly these experiences have helped me gain an intuitive understanding of what it takes for a product to succeed.During my career, I have managed multi-function product teams, built products from the ground up, and managed projects from conception to release and iteration. My most recent experience is working with Viasat - leading design for the Viasat Field Operations team - helping technicians calibrate between ground equipment, satellites in orbit and Viasat systems.I believe good research is the cornerstone of good design. I love to do my own research and work with other researchers. I recently completed a certificate in Critical Research at IADT. Which has helped me think more critically about research methodologies and epistemology. I also believe designers need to be great team players and must understand the nuances of product, technology, and engineering to co-create great product experiences through contextual understanding, effective communication, and empathetic awareness of colleagues' needs. I take pride in being this kind of design partner.
