Coming from a background in film and videography, I fell into web development while working on my film company’s website. Quickly I found that I could pick up on the coding language much more easily than any other language; it seemed more natural. Javascript, HTML5, CSS… these are the languages I prefer. No matter their constraints, I see evolving opportunity. I have heard the nontraditional route I took complements the fact that I’m a non-traditional developer. Yet instead, I like to think it’s more about finding solutions and building new concepts where others see limitations. This is partly why I have a strong feeling that it’s important to give back by sharing knowledge and helping others create solutions by discovering new perspectives. While the solutions vary, I’ve focused more on the shift toward responsive design, allowing our clients’ to more effectively reach their users across all devices. It’s about finding solutions and helping others have improved interactive experiences with sites. All sites should operate seamlessly and captivate users.
