At EAP Zamorano´s Department of Environment and Development, I coordinate internships abroad and teach two courses: Fundamentals of Development and Project Management.En el Departamento de Ambiente y Desarrollo de la EAP Zamorano, coordino pasantías externas e imparto dos cursos: Fundamentos de Desarrollo y Gestión de Proyectos. My research area connects rural development, tourism and education, while my main research interests are rural planning and online education applied to tourism. The main objective of my research is to find new ways of dealing with the increasing level of change affecting rural and tourism development in contemporary societies. The main theoretical underpinning is network theory, which I have applied to the study of community-based tourism and Asian migration to Latin America. A second area of theoretical interest is critical pedagogy, which I have followed for the study of education in the field of tourism.
