I feel lucky to have chosen a profession where I feel passionate, engaged, and of value to those I serve. Growing up I was always looking for a career I could be proud of. Becoming a firefighter/Paramedic was the perfect fit for me. I love that the Orem Fire Department has given me the opportunity and encouragement to excel in this field.With eighteen years in the fire service, I have worked in all aspects of the fire service. These aspects include paramedicine, firefighting, high-angle rope rescue, confined space, heavy extrication, trench rescue, and HazMat operations. These last few years I have found my true passion in the fire service as a Fire Captain. With my ability to build strong relationships, passion for my employees and years of teaching experience, I succeed in helping create the next generation of quality firefighters.
