Supervised by Prof. Denis Kramer, my research focused on measuring and discerning factors influencing degradation processes in Li-ion battery cathodes. I used atomistic modelling methods (DFT) to determine the transition state energies of phase transformations both in the bulk and at the surface of cathodes. -- CODING SKILLS: My project was computational. I am fluent in Python and bash. I am comfortable operating in unix systems and in particular working on High Performance Computers (HPC's). My projects used density functional theory within vasp and I written numerous scripts to ease handling/manipulating large vasp data.-- Writing and Presenting skills: I am a published academic author and have presented work at conference. I have taken a professional writing course with SkillFluence and a Public Speaking course with BodyTalk. -- Critical thinking, problem solving and research skills: Undertaken a large project have developed these skills on a day-to-day basis. -- Grant Writing: I have undertaken a professional grant writing course with SkillFluence and have writing successful applications for increased compute time.
