Peter Burnett has been licensed to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia since 1977. In 1988, he limited his practice to personal injury law. The firm settled a case involving the wrongful death of a 14 year old boy for one million dollars, which at the time was believed to be the highest death of a minor settlement in Loudoun County history.Peter has served on the Bar Council of the Virginia State Bar (VSB) since 2007 and was appointed to the Diversity Conference Board of Governors in 2010. He was a member of the 7th District Disciplinary Committee of the VSB from 2000-2006, serving as its Chair in 2001. He is the former Chairman of the Judicial Nominations Committee of the VSB and served on its Special Committee on Fee Dispute Resolution.
