I analyze both patient and research tissue derived Illumina sequence data to characterize somatic SNVs, indels, structural alterations, and copy number alterations in a CLIA regulated environment. I also collaborate with PIs to improve project sequencing strategies and provide customized data analyses. I collaborate to develop, maintain, and validate production scale NGS analysis pipelines that interface with databases. I also develop novel analysis methods.

I aid in developing and delivering lectures for the Marine Biology course at Tufts University.

Designed and taught the workshop: Next-generation sequence bioinformatics. This course drew a diverse group of students including both junior and senior graduate students, molecular biologists with bioinformatics backgrounds to community ecologists who were unfamiliar with such techniques. I presented a unified platform for working with high throughput generated sequences across projects, such as genome assembly, transcriptome analysis, and population level sequence assessments.
