About Andreas Busch
I am a biotechnology professional with longstanding experience in protein biochemistry & structural biology in both academia and industry. My main area of expertise is the recombinant production and purification of membrane and soluble proteins as well as protein structure solution and the study of protein-protein and ligand-protein interactions towards structure-based drug discovery (SBDD). I have key skills in setting up a gene-to-structure platform for membrane proteins and membrane protein complexes, as well as in the use of nanobodies as tools in structural biology or as biologics. I currently work in a medium-scale biotech as Senior Scientist and Project Leader of a multidisciplinary team. My main interests are team leadership and project management towards meaningful medicines.
