Technical Project Systems Engineer, Cisco Proof Of Concept (Cpoc) LabCisco Oct 2001 - Aug 2007Research Triangle Park, NcThe Proof of Concept lab was where customers would come to test latest and greatest networking products and software. I was one of 4 Team Leads for the last 3 years. The sales opportunity 'close rate' of projects that came through CPOC was astoundingly high (>90%). Account teams would apply to bring their customer through and then we would:- Precisely vet out the technology/products to test- Work with the account team and customer to document and agree to a Test Plan with success criteria- Work with the Sales System Engineer for 1 week to build out the test environment - All technologies (Firewall, Networking, Voice, etc.) also some large scale scripting to replicate large enterprise WAN environments- Host the customer for 5 days to run through the tests, assist with test equipment and traffic generation, answer questions, troubleshoot issues.Learned to be a Project Manager, Technical Writer, Deep technologist, Sales and Customer Relationship Manager. This was a fantastic program with an absolutely wonderful team of people. A big part of my development. -
