Hi, I'm Ben! I've worked with computers since I was little and have roughly five years of experience in the workplace handling hardware, software, and network support for clients of small and medium-sized industries. My personal favorite things to work with are device repair and network infrastructure installation -- there's something super satisfying about getting everything to just work. I was the tech kid of the family, so since I was young I was good at explaining how things work to folks that might not be as technologically literate. In the workplace I've refined that skill into meeting clients where they're at in terms of their understanding of the equipment used, to help explain the problems, solutions, and upgrades I've helped deploy over the years. In college, I double-majored in Computer Science and Chinese Language and Culture. I was taught Python, Java, C, and MIPS, and I have practical knowledge of Linux. I can read both traditional and simplified Chinese, and can carry out a decent enough conversation in Mandarin. I learned Chinese just out of personal interest -- I studied abroad briefly in Taiwan and fell in love with it, and I'd love to go back someday.
