Main Job Activities:Manage lab technologists and technicians-Manage day-to-day functions/actions of technologist and ensure that projects are completed in timely manor. Act as a resource for questions and troubleshooting.Liaison with France office/lab-Regularly communicate with the main office/lab for flavors, new information/developments, and additional help and requests. Work with the flavorists in developing new flavors manage existing projects put in for development. Check for new updates on profile ranges and new presentation formats. Work with marketing to receive trend reports to develop proactive samplings.Development of US flavor portfolio.-Test the references in current portfolio in a variety of applications to determine optimum dosages. References not line with the US profiles are either modified or removed from the active portfolio. Perform regular market product buys of new products to help identify profiles that appeal to the US market. Identify holes in the active portfolio to develop flavors for. Update the flavor portfolio twice a year with the new references developed and removing old references that are not preforming well. Work as technical resource for sales team and customers-Respond to the sales team or customer questions about the functionality and/or profile of our flavors. Have a working knowledge of all the references offered and how to use them in multiple applications. Respond to publication (magazines, professional groups) requests for insight on flavor trends, flavor challenges, and market influences.Application and presentation development-Develop different presentations for our customers ranging from proactive flavor presentations displaying new flavors developed, popular/trendy flavors of a particular application, or a range of profiles in a particular flavor. Lead sensory training sessions for our customers. Design and create all sampling for National IFT show.Maintain lab equipment and ingredients
