Hi! My name is David Chea, I've been a filmmaker since I started dancing in 2001. I started off documenting myself and my team but small jobs documenting events and shooting highlight reels led me halfway across the world producing videos for bigger events. After meeting Antoine Schirer and Style2ouf in 2009, one of the first media companies to have documented the dance culture online, it took me around a few more times. I found my way into the professional industry at Chromatix, a web design company that provided work that allowed me to further my illustrating skills and develop my motion design skills. In 2015, I began freelancing at Burning House Production, a company which delivers high end visual content for professionals and corporates. My duties were mainly in post production but it opened me up to the whole production process which I love.In my spare time, I have worked with brands, artists and small companies creating visual content. One of my highlights and first jobs was for luxury brand, Barbara Bui in Paris where I got shoot a behind the scenes highlight reel for the spring / summer collection 2011. It was an experience to see the designer work in her atelier and then reveal it on a Paris fashion runway. In 2016, I got to work with an Aussie great, James Galea on his ABC Magic TV show designing the graphics and credit sequence. I have recently moved to Gothenburg, Sweden in the pursuit of love and happiness and currently looking for jobs in motion design and film.
