Responsible for the supervision of all machine operations and overall production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities in the Machine Shop. • Responsible for supervising the efforts of hourly machine shop workers to achieve established production objectives as well as safety, quality and cost.• Practices positive employee relations and serves as a key communications facilitator, trainer, coach and counselor for the department. • Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill production needs, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion. • Maintain clear communications between departments. • Make appropriate work assignments among department personnel and monitor results. • Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all equipment in the area of responsibility. • Assure that quality and cost requirements are adhered to and that production requirements are met. • Interface closely with internal process partners from a scheduling, parts availability and quality standpoint to assure a smooth flow of production. • Program complex production parts using various CAM software including: MasterCam, Delcam, PartMaker SwissCam
