As an assistant professor at the School of Art and Design at the University of Illinois, I taught painting and drawing at the graduate level and exhibited professionally. It was at the National Center For Super-computing Applications U. of IL. I became interested in very early experiments in digital imagery.In terms of professional experience, I have over 30 years in both computer graphics and art-related projects. As a Creative Director and ultimately VP of Creative Services in a large marketing and advertising agency, I have mentored dozens of designers and digital artists, many of whom have gone on to forge successful careers in creative fields. I engaged with international clients, contributing to diverse projects such as product launches for Intel, designing packaging for Lotus Software — then a leading software company — and developing new products for major corporations like Anheuser-Busch, Cargill, and Ralston Foods.As a owner/partner at MindActive in St. Louis, my focus was on digital media, 3D animation, web marketing and mobile communication tools.Over the past quarter-century, graphic technology has experienced a remarkable transformation, marked by profound advancements and growing complexity. Despite this, my unwavering dedication to the timeless traditions of fine art persists. My latest work focuses on a blend of cutting-edge computer visualization, scientific intricacies, and a profound appreciation for the physical and formal qualities inherent in painting and drawing.I enjoy developing cross-disciplinary collaborations.
