I joined and invested in this small construction company to update and modernize their use of technology for better communications, project management and financial tracking and reporting. Before my arrival, the company operated without an accounting system, company email, document management or a payroll system. Everything was done on paper with little tracking and reporting. Over the course of a few months, I implemented QuickBooks for accounting, Office 365 for company wide communication and document sharing, Paychex for payroll and taxes and introduced project management methodologies like Kanban to the management team.

In this role at a small software company, I had the opportunity to shape and grow the software development group of a 25+ year old privately held company. Reporting directly to the CTO and charged with guiding the development of the company's next generation EHR (Electronic Health Record) software, I led the group into a start-up like mode similar to companies that just received their first round of funding.
