I am an engineering designer at BETA Group, a full-service civil/environmental engineering firm, working in our Civil/Transportation department. In 2020, I graduated from the UMass Amherst Civil & Environmental Engineering College. I consider myself a quick learner, goal-oriented, and flexible. My passion for the environment, an innate feeling of curiosity, and an interest in math have guided me to where I am today.In 2021, I joined BETA Group, a planning, engineering, design, asset management, and construction services engineering firm. At BETA, I work in the transportation division, working on various streetscape improvement projects throughout the Greater Boston Area. My responsibilities have included quantity take-offs, drafting, and peer reviews. My favorite project I have worked on so far was redesigning the historic Lexington Battle Green, where I aided in the design of a new roundabout, intersection realignment, and streetscape enhancements. Being able to work on such a historic location is a really cool part of being a civil engineer. I've found a passion in streamlining Civil3D processes and automating simple, repetitive tasks, freeing up time to work on more technical design related tasks for myself and upper-management.In 2019, I was fortunate to intern at the MassDOT's Intelligent Transportation Division where I developed Excel, ArcMAP, AutoCAD, and Visual Basic programming skills. In high school and throughout college, I worked in the restaurant industry where I developed important stress resilience and time management skills.
