I am a 2nd year College student, in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville (UTK). I am currently a marketing major, but I have plans on switching to finance. As a student in the Haslam college of Business I have had to develop skills of adaptability, precision, communication and much more. As a college student I am always having to balance my time between my academics as well as extracurricular activities, while adapting to whatever comes my way on short notice. I pride myself in being able to complete my work efficiently whether it is in class material or even asynchronous lectures. Ever since COVID, I have developed skills of working on my own remotely, which has helped my strategic thinking in terms of making sure I am up to date on academics, and other opportunities that come my way. I am a personable, hard-working individual who values strong communication in a business as a very significant aspect. Throughout my work experiences I have gained many critical skills that reflect what I plan to use in my future in the business world. I've gained interpersonal skills, through retail opportunities as well as working with clients needing pressure washing, or landscaping, which has improved the way that I communicate with others. As a landscaper, I not only had to problem solve so that jobs were being done in an effective and efficient manner, but I also had to manage small groups at times, enhancing my ability to lead. After school I plan on using my bachelors of science in the Haslam College of Business somewhere in the south near my home city of Nashville. I believe that all of my skills I have learned from academic experiences to my previous work opportunities have set me up for effectively working in the business world. My academic and personal growth have readied me for whatever may come my way.
