Electric Vehicle Batteries no longer suitable for vehicle use were re-purposed to store energy collected from PV panels atop a building. The batteries would collect power during non-peak usage hours and discharge when energy use was high. This was done by a previously developed algorithms which predicted usage rates to enhance demand charge management.
