Through working in thermal analysis at SSL, I was able to gain experience in the aerospace industry. I worked hands-on with various materials in order to test their thermal conductivity and analyzed CAD models of spacecraft. In addition, I was able to work collaboratively with other interns and aerospace engineers on different projects and assumed the position of project manager on one of the projects.
