I am responsible for leading the Budget Analysis & Planning department, which oversees the development and implementation of the University of California’s $54.5 billion budget for current operations and coordinates long-range financial planning for the UC system.I work closely with leadership from Academic Affairs, the Chief Operating Officer division, UC Health, the Academic Senate, and campuses to align the University’s financial resources with its broader strategic goals and initiatives, particularly in areas related to the University’s core funds.My team and I oversee all budget proposals and reports provided to state agencies on behalf of the UC system. Together with staff from the Government Relations division, this position represents the University in discussions and negotiations with state officials related to policies and funding decisions that affect the University’s budget.
