I helped oversee the day-to-day operations of the editorial team for The Penny Hoarder, which is one of the largest personal finance digital media companies in the country. My responsibilities included:- coordinating the publishing schedule, which includes working with writers, editors and the visuals team- editing our team of freelance writers- overseeing the operations of our social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest- working with our SEO team to ensure our content adheres to best SEO practices- using data and analytics to make editorial decisions- developing and executing content strategies- performing competitive analysis and market research to assist with product development

I edited content for the Jobs/Making Money vertical, which involved story selection and assignment, development of original angles, editing for clarity and style, and coaching the writers I worked with.

I served as an assistant editor, which involved offering the first round of edits on a story, writing headlines and social media teasers, and supporting the editorial team in whatever way needed.

As the senior digital media producer, I was primarily responsible for guiding the day-to-day coverage on the digital platforms. This involved working with the on-air team and the digital team to ensure we could use the website, the app and social media to best distribute information to all segments of our audience. I was the point person in the web staff for handling technical issues, and served as a liaison between the editorial staff and the web development team.I was named Employee of the Year in 2012 and Employee of the Month in November 2009, June 2010 and February 2012.

I started as an intern during journalism school and was later hired on a part-time basis to maintain the entertainment events listings that appeared both in the print version of the publication and online.

As website manager, I was responsible for creating SEO content for several tourism-related websites and for maintaining the websites so they remained up to date. I also provided support for small businesses who hosted their websites with the company. The support I provided included fixing HTML and Photoshop-related issues on their sites, handling domain registrations and transfers, and troubleshooting problems with email and web servers.

I started as a technical support engineer, which involved providing technical support to end users of the web hosting service. I handled issues with users' web sites, domains and email services.Later, I was promoted to training coordinator. As training coordinator, I was responsible for training the technical support staff to handle requests for service from end users, as well as keeping them aware of new products as they became available to our customers. I also created the training manuals that were both used in-house and by end users.
