In this role, I lead the design phase of projects, which includes client discovery, user research, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and client workshops. Depending on the size of the project, I work as the independent designer or I oversee a small team. I help to facilitate design to development conversations, requirements, and component audits. Once the design phase is nearly complete, I help out as a front-end developer, building components, creating hooks, setting up API calls, and running unit tests. With my multi-faceted role, I am able to collaborate across all departments and be a key part of projects from start to finish. I also specialized in accessible design and development, helping to set standards in the company and train others on the team.

I began in this role as a supporting UX Architect, running user research and testing, auditing existing systems, and recommending new workflows for a better experience. I grew into taking on more design tasks such as turning wireframes into stylized prototypes by following style tiles and brand guidelines. I also helped to expand design libraries both in terms of designing and developing components. Over the two years in this role, I grew to gain leadership over small design projects and worked to become a valuable part of the front-end development team.
