As a trainer for the BOKS program at Lincoln Street Elementary School in Northborough, MA, I helped to facilitate activities and games that promoted physical fitness and teamwork with students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. I also supported students with different special needs who participated in this program.

I am a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) for an 18 year-old young woman with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I assist this young woman with her needs at home, and help to facilitate social situations whenever possible. I use ABA methods, which requires a working knowledge of behavioral psychology.

As a Special Education Aide, I currently work with students in Third and Fourth Grade with various special needs (I have previously worked with Kindergarten and First Grade students, as well). I support these students academically and socially, helping them with school work, as well as maintaining behavior plans and problem solving. I collaborate with classroom teachers, other aides, as well as school psychologists and other specialists in the school, in order to provide students with a positive and fulfilling school experience.

As a special education aide for the academic/pragmatics summer program, I worked with students in first and second grade. I assisted the classroom teacher with facilitating academic lessons (including small group instruction in math, reading, and writing) as well as social skills lessons.

At the after-school program at the Sterling Nursery School, I worked with school-age children from the ages of five to twelve. I helped to organize and lead activities for the children. I also assisted the lead teacher with any tasks that need to be completed. In the summer, I worked at the full-day summer program for the school-age children.
