Knowledge and education are powerful and we, as teachers, have a duty to educate and prepare our youth to become essential components of society. I have observed and taught at many different levels of education, but I have an emphasis on Middle School and High School education. I continued to private tutor an 8th grader for 6 months after my required field experience was over. Together, we brought up his Math grade from a C+ to an A- and his English grade from a C to a B+. One day my student admitted his mother, “Caitlin makes learning fun.” Hearing her relay his comment to me, was my most rewarding and satisfying achievements in the education realm.I have also managed employees at small businesses and in the corporate arena. I do possess project management, leadership, and time management skills. I could not have become a leader in those businesses without being a team player and working well with others. I have been fortunate to acquired these types of skills for they are essential in creating a productive and efficient business and classroom.
