I began training at City Fitness in January 2021 towards the MOSSA Group Fight fitness programme. Throughout my training I learned how to execute the movements correctly and then how to communicate and instruct this to a group of people. This extended towards MOSSA Group Active in April 2022.As a group fitness instructor, I am responsible learning hour-long workouts correctly, and then instructing them to a group of people in a timely and energetic manner that means that I help get people moving, help people to feel healthy, and help create friendships along the way! I have learned how to speak in public with confidence, and as such improved my self-confidence in my abilities to deliver and satisfying class, while also still actively seeking out feedback from my fellow instructors as well as my members and participants on how I can improve.I've also learned heaps of interpersonal skills such as how to connect with people in a large group setting as well as how to connect with people one-on-one. I have a passion for exercise and a passion for group fitness, and I want to be able to share that passion and help get more and more people moving and feeling fitter and healthier in their everyday lives!

I first started in the checkout department, where I was responsible for scanning and processing customers' groceries. I ensured that customers had a pleasant final instore experience, I learned how to interact with customers, how to think and act quickly and how to resolve conflict in a worker-customer relationship.In 2020moved to the online shopping department where I was responsible for completing customers' online grocery orders to best of my ability and in a timely manner. This department required that I worked with my co-workers to ensure that all of the orders for the day were completed. I gained immense teamwork, cooperation and coordination skills, and was even given the opportunity at times to lead the department and so I was able to learn management skills, how to resolve conflict and listen to others in my team towards a common goal.During my time at Pak'n'Save Royal Oak, I was privileged to be able to attend a two-day Foodies "Stepping Up to Leadership" course, where I was introduced to the basics of leadership, management and working as a team in a more formal setting.I was also able to learn new skills by helping out in other departments such as the Deli and Bakery, which are more hands-on in the making and preparing of food.

I participated in a University of Auckland 360 Semester Exchange to the University of Granada in Spain. I spent 5 months studying Spanish.
