Currently I am employed as a Legal Secretary within the firm whilst also studying the LLB at RGU. Within the firm, I work alongside the solicitors in Residential Conveyancing transactions, drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney and assisting with the running of court-appointed Financial Guardianships. Studying the LLB whilst working within the firm has allowed me to use the knowledge and skills I learn within my job in the course, and also allows me to take what I learn in the LLB to use in everyday practice.

Whilst working as the Assistant Manager, I was responsible for the day to day running of the hotel’s restaurant and bar, together with working in the hotel’s reception - greeting guests, organising functions and the management of staff.Working in this role allowed me to work as a team player, to work on my time management to ensure functions ran smoothly and the restaurant’s bookings ran to schedule, it allowed me to develop my problem solving skills in the occasions where the restaurant could be overbooked for example, and to work well under pressure. Working in hospitality allowed me to meet and work with different people, answer emails, book functions, accommodation and restaurant bookings using systems such as OpenTable and Maitre’D.
