Curatorial Assistant for the Contemporary Art Department

• Provide administrative and programming support to the Director of the Foundation andthe Curator of the Festival, encompassing the full range of activities of the Under The Sun Foundation. This includes assisting with planning and execution of the Candlewood Arts Festival as directed by the Curator, including research, management of the project proposal process, workshopcoordination, production coordination, and assistance organizing events for the festival(including opening and closing weekend activities, tours, talks, receptions, and performances).

Under the general supervision of the Museum Curator andCoordinators, I assist with the organization and implementation ofprograms and services at the City of Lancaster’s Museum of Artand History, MOAH: CEDAR, Western Hotel Museum, and ElyzeClifford Interpretive Center.

Conducting background research and developing interpretative materials for the National Forests in North Carolina, Uwharrie National Forest. Researched id focused on honoring the history of Camp Patterson's African American Civilian Conservation Corps. Working collectively with peers we are actively researching and creating interpretative materials for the Camp Patterson site.

Assist the Office of Admissions with mail processing, application processing (data entry), email and phone communications, photocopying, scanning, inventory of marketing materials, campus tours, mailing packets, help with events and other general office duties needed.

Works with the museum leaders to help plan and implement exhibits in a small museum setting. Also, aids in planning and discussion of interactions with MOTAL's many partners and consultants will be involved including the planning of events and future collaborations

Serves as frontline resources for our guests, providing assistance in several areas of the facility including the IMAX Theater and exhibits areas. Duties include interacting with guests, answering questions, ticket scanning, and expressing knowledge of California Science Centers' permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Through the Getty Marrow undergraduate internship program, for 10 consecutive weeks working with the staff at the American Museum of Ceramic Art. By participating in the development and presentation of museum exhibitions. Practicing and learning how to plan, install and de-install exhibitions, research and write interpretive labels, and object handling techniques. Also gaining skills in object-based education techniques, arts administration skills, and best practices in public engagement.

Working with Cal State LA Annual Giving, my job is to acquire new donors through monitored phone calls as well as build donor loyalty and renew previous donors of Cal State La. Overall promoting our university an encouraging alumni to donate to our non-profit organization in order to provide scholarships and other positive programs to the students at Cal State LA.

Working with the collections manager along with other interns to asses the museums inventory both permanent and incoming. Also, working to organize the collections in the data base Embark after researching and analyzing pieces in the permanent collection. As well as collectively working towards a new exhibition from the museums permanent collection, both deinstalling and installing the exhibition.

As an Admissions and Recruitment Ambassadors it was my job to make connections with the staff and faculty of each school site I attend and collaborate innovative ways to reach out to and help guide students applying for California State Universities. For example scheduling presentations and workshop periods on each school site. I also worked many on and off-campus events such as college fairs and preview day, working to both set up the events and ensure a positive guest experience during the events and help with the take down of the event set up.
