Communications Coordinator
Current● Support City Manager’s Office, Central Services Department, and city-wide communications by developing and implementing public information and outreach programs.● Write and edit press releases, web and print materials, video scripts, newsletters, and other communication pieces. ● Coordinate and support community outreach efforts including community events and public engagement. ● Manage social media presence and lead department-wide social media user group meetings.● Develop and maintain relationships with representatives from all local media outlets; regularly monitor media coverage.● Completed FEMA Advanced Public Information Officer training February 2018. ● Co-lead COVID-19 Emergency Operations Center PIO team March-July 2021; served as Deputy PIO in EOC March 2020-February 2021. ● Develop ads, flyers, and other marketing collateral for events, programs, and other CMO needs. ● Serve as backup to Web Analyst for updates to CMO and Public Information Team pages.
