I served on the Clemson Panhellenic Executive Council, managed a $10,000 budget, oversaw $500,000 in council expenses, governed 3,500 Panhellenic women, planned and hosted educational programs, organized academic recognition, managed social media and lead marketing operations, represented Clemson at 3 leadership conferences, and worked closely with Clemson administration.

During my time at Sands Capital, I led investment research on the macroeconomic and political environments in Thailand, Argentina, and Mexico. The research process included reading economic reports and political and economic books; collecting, charting, and analyzing macroeconomic data to understand key drivers of growth, the external account, debt, and currency; leading and participating in outside expert calls; attending macroeconomic events and forums; summarizing the information gathered and presenting key takeaways for the firm’s investment prospects to the entire team. I screened for publicly listed companies using FactSet for potential investment opportunities. From there, I identified three companies, all of which were positively received by the investment team, and wrote a company-level report for one on its alignment with the firm’s investment criteria. Lastly, I shared high-level takeaways from five macro-focused books with the investment team.

As a policy database intern, I researched and compiled data into Salesforce and Microsoft Excel on high school guidance counselors. This project spearheaded the distribution of ACTA's "What Will They Learn?" project, which provides assessments of our nation's colleges and universities academic curriculum. Additionally, I contributed to ACTA's blog by writing about my take on higher education policy issues.

I attended biweekly Clemson Panhellenic meetings, attended and outlined programming events, requested and gathered any checks needed by the Panhellenic Executive Council, ensured enough members were signed up for mandatory Panhellenic enrichment programs, and represented Sigma Kappa in the greek community.

As a student in the Koch Internship Program, I completed twelve days of educational and professional programming. Aside from completing a ten week internship at a partner organization, we were expected to complete readings each week from Henry Kissinger's Diplomacy, Frédéric Bastiat's The Law, Thomas Sowell's Basic Economics, and other assigned articles. Additionally, we were asked to respond to various political dilemmas with innovative ideas as to how to solve them. During programming, we would discuss these readings and discussion questions as well as attend guest lectures, learn about Charle Koch's Market-Based Management Principles, and apply those principles in a simulation. I graduated this rigorous program with enhanced critical thinking skills and a widened view of approaching various issues.

During my time at The Fund for American Studies, I was challenged both professionally and academically. I took an upper-level economics course on public policy while participating in an internship, attending guest lectures, small groups, and panel discussions. As a part of the program, I also attended site briefings at the Federal Reserve, State Department, and Capitol Hill. These site briefings, guest lectures, small groups, and panel discussions paired with the economics course allowed me to make the most of my internship experience in Washington, D.C. and allowed me to grow significantly in my political science and economic studies.

As a marketing intern, I supported the campus launch of Curtsy, a dress-sharing application. In this role, I marketed the application to fellow students, managed pop-up shops, and worked with other interns to come up with innovative ideas to get students to use the application.
