Before I enrolled at North Central College, I became involved in broadcasting at a young age. Starting my junior year in high school, I volunteered at WHIW, a low-powered FM radio station in Harvard, IL. I transitioned from shadowing live shows to running the production board during sporting events, as well as maintaining the music catalog.I joined WONC my freshman year at NCC. Before assuming the Assistant Music Director role, I wrote newscasts for DJs to recite on-air. For one semester, I monitored the station's community broadcasting on Sundays, which consisted of band performances and mass.As Assistant Music Director, I was responsible for maintaining the station's music library. I accomplished this by adding new songs that fit its format and removing songs that were insufficient.
