From a young age, I have dreamed of becoming a college football coach. That passion led me to play college football for two years at Texas Wesleyan University, where I was fortunate to be part of a thriving program. In 2021, our team achieved a 7-3 record, and in 2022, we reached new heights with a 9-2 record and a conference championship.During the 2022 season, I earned a spot on the travel squad for nine games, played in five, and started in four. Unfortunately, a significant injury in 2023 forced me to medically retire from playing.Alongside our team’s accomplishments, I was honored to receive individual awards during my playing career, including:Scout Team Player of the Year on defense as a freshmanBig Hit Stick Award for special teams as a sophomoreIn 2024, I transferred to Tarleton State University, where I began pursuing my coaching and recruiting aspirations as a Student Assistant Coach. This opportunity has been instrumental in my development, as I have worked closely with Dylan Wagner, Tarleton’s Director of Recruiting and Personnel, and Tyrone Nix, the Assistant Head Coach.Through this role, I have contributed to Tarleton’s impressive 10-3 record this season by:Analyzing Film and Data: Breaking down pass protection schemes on DV Sports while also helping with Scout Team and the defensive play cards for each weekRecruiting Operations: Conducting campus tours and creating detailed recruiting lists for high school, JUCO, and transfer playersI am on track to graduate in the summer of 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Communication and a double minor in Coaching and Psychology. My ultimate goal is to continue my coaching career by securing a Graduate Assistant position or any available role at the collegiate level. The combination of my playing experience, coaching exposure, and academic background has equipped me with the skills and determination to thrive as a football coach. I am eager to bring my passion, knowledge, and work ethic to a college football program, making a lasting impact on both players and the sport itself.
