Supporting software development for Uncrewed Vehicle Control, Scalable Control Interface in the C2E project office at PM UAS supporting Launched Effects, shoe Range Reconnaissance, and other UAS platforms.

Applied highly specialized subject matter expertise to assist with system software development.Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure that all information system products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements.Conduct walk through on test case/script with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads.Performed and lead tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and end user functionality requirements.Perform verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment.Document and communicate test results and resolve open issues.Devise improvements to current procedures and develop models of possible future configurations.Create daily test metrics and reporting.Perform other IT systems engineering activities such as requirements, design, installation, operation, sustainment, and support.

Provides technical support for the Uncrewed Aerial Systems Mission Simulator (UMS) to include installation, software and hardware upgrades, and user training. Provides software, and systems support for the Multiple Unified Simulation Environments (MUSE) systems developed by the Joint Systems Integration Lab (JSIL) for Project Manager Unmanned Aerial Systems (PM UAS) that are integrated into the Universal Ground Control Station (UGCS) and UMS. Develop user training for software changes and system updates. Developed system documentation to reflect system changes and streamline testing. Utilize Windows Deployment Services to upgrade servers. Ensure that mission requirements are met through the use of VMware to build, deploy, and utilize virtual machines.

The UAS operator supervises or operates the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), such as the Army's Shadow RQ-7B, and supporting systems to gather intelligence for mission planning, mission sensor/payload operations, launching, remotely piloting and recovering the aerial vehicle. Experience includes combat deployment operations.Other duties include: Prepared and conducted air reconnaissance missions. Operate mission sensor/payload for target detection. Plan and analyze flight missions. Deploy and redeploy the TUAS ground and air system. Operate and perform operator level maintenance on communications equipment, power sources, light and heavy wheel vehicle and some crane operations. Launch and recover the air vehicle. Perform pre-flight, in flight, and post-flight checks and procedures. Direct emplacement of ground control station. Direct emplacement of launch and recovery systems. Supervise and assist in air frame repair.

Served in a number of different roles to include Instructor Operator (IO), Flight Evaluator/ Standardization Operator (SO/ FE) Aircraft Commander (AC), and Training Development. Serving as a Training facilitator responsible for instructing, testing and certifying U.S. Army, Marine, Navy and civilian Unmanned Aircraft Systems operators in all aspects of Shadow TUAS Operators Course. Instructional subjects include Emergency Procedures, Flight Logic, Map to Video Correlation, Simulator Flights, and Flight Line Operations. Prepares and presents platform and hands-on instruction, development of instructional materials, to include exams, remedial and supplemental materials. Provide feedback to the student verbally and in writing of the student’s performance, grade the student’s work in accordance with Government provided references, procedures, and forms. Possess and maintain a Federal Aviation Administration Class III flight physical. Maintain currency in assigned UAS as well as maintain all requirements as defined in applicable Government manuals
