This year began my first in school leadership. I serve as the 7th grade Assistant Principal at Cedar Bluff Middle School. I have ten years of experience teaching seventh grade social studies. I served in many leadership roles within my school and district. I was a Lead Teacher and TEAM certified educator responsible for conducting teacher evaluations. I was a grade level representative on my school's leadership team. I was also a member of the Instructional Development Team responsible for determining instructional objectives for the school, and designing and leading professional learning at the school level. I served as a representative on the district's Regional Teacher Council which collaborates with other educators across the district to address various concerns regarding the operation of our schools. I was member of the 2023 cohort of Leading Innovators of Instructional Technology with the district which facilitates the responsible integration of educational technology in the district. I was selected as the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year at my school. I have over 5 years of retail experience and I currently work as a tour guide for Knox Brew Tours.
