I am an aerospace engineering major at the University of Florida. I am certified in AutoDesk Fusion 360, which is a computer aided design software, and CompTIA IT Fundamentals, which is a course in the basic knowledge of computer systems. I am currently working on learning the SolidWorks program to develop my computer aided design abilities. I have experience in an assistant position to a construction project manager, where I was able to develop leadership and communication skills that were valuable in understanding how a working environment is conducted. I earned the rank of Eagle Scout, which allowed me to develop many leadership qualities including communication, coordination, planning, etc. Throughout my journey in Scouting, I had to manage various service projects that had many tasks being completed at the same time which allowed me to learn these leadership skills. I had the opportunity to serve as the leader of the Scouting troop for a year and learned to communicate effectively to others in order that the task was to be completed effectively. As a leader, I also had to be very dedicated to learning to plan out every detail of a project or a meeting and to always be ready to change the plan if necessary. After I was the leader, I learned the value in being able to step into a role because I knew how difficult being a leader could be. I am looking for an opportunity to work as aerospace engineer intern in order to gain experience in the field and learn as much as I can about being an aerospace engineer. I believe that working as an intern will help me develop a better working knowledge of what is required of an aerospace engineer and the experience of being in this position such as the necessary skills and talents. I believe that I can gain valuable experience as an intern that will allow me to be an effective member of the workforce. I believe that I will be able to contribute my abilities to a company and to the working environment. My abilities in computer aided design would be helpful for the position that I would be able to fill. I strive to be a fast learner and to absorb as much knowledge as I am able in order to serve in a position to the best that I could.
