    Moderna
    Boston, Ma, Us
  • Moderna
Engineer 1 On Manufacturing Science And Technology Int Dna
    Moderna Sep 2024 - Present
This is an operational role, where I was responsible for protocol generation, creation of memos to assess INT DNA synthesis batches, on call support for manufacturing, and execution/transfer of studies from technical development to manufacturing. I also gained experience in a fast paced GMP environment, along with laboratory skills in DNA process, including assembly, transformation, prep, and sequencing.
  • Moderna
    Engineer 1 On Formulation Discovery
    Moderna Feb 2024 - Sep 2024
    Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States
In this role, I am working on LNP systems in collaboration with the rest of Delivery Science to investigate novel LNP formulations, processes, and analysis. I am gaining experience in LNP formulation, characterization, chemistry, SAXS, HPLC, CryoEM, and nanoFCM.
  • Moderna
    Engineer 1 On Bioassay Team
    Moderna Jul 2023 - Feb 2024
    Norwood, Massachusetts, United States
On the Bioassay team I developed an alternative ELISA method for potency testing using ready to use cells plated and transfected straight out of cryofreeze. This significantly reduced the assay time and allowed for a safeguard in case a passaged cell line went down. I also worked hard on assay prequalification, routine sample testing using ELISA and CFT assay techniques, and was in charge of cell passaging and plating for one of the cell lines used by the group.
  • Cornell University
Undergraduate Research Assistant In Jiang Lab
    Cornell University Mar 2021 - Aug 2023
    Ithaca, New York, United States
I worked on mRNA in vitro transcription and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation to investigate the mRNA translational efficiencies with modified vs unmodified nucleotides in vivo studies. I also created a microfluidic chip using photolithography at the Cornell nanofabrication center to assist in high throughput LNP production. Additionally, I was the lead on producing mRNA LNP systems for our collaborator at Weill Cornell Medical College for ongoing vaccine studies. I routinely performed transformations, maxiprep, PCR, imaging, mouse surgeries/injections, and LNP characterization.
  • Weill Cornell Medicine
    Undergraduate Research Assistant
Weill Cornell Medicine Jun 2022 - Aug 2022
Worked on the F. nucleatum vaccine to treat colorectal cancer. I gained experience doing cell culture of 293T and 3T3 cells, transfections, PCRs, gel electrophoresis, transformations, maxiprep, mouse surgeries, proteomics, and designing experiments.
  • Virginia Commonwealth University
    Undergraduate Research Assistant
Virginia Commonwealth University Jun 2020 - Aug 2020
    Richmond, Virginia, United States
In this position I designed, simulated, and built microfluidic chips to investigate the progression, treatment, and cause of degenerate intervertebral disks.
