I have a lifelong passion for wildlife and have loved nature and conservation from an early age. I also firmly believe in the importance and necessity of zoos and aquariums in conserving the planet's remaining natural habitats and protecting threatened species. I support the continued evolution of zoological facilities in the 21st century to combat the loss of biodiversity and public education about what people can do to help. I have been involved in zoos and animal husbandry for my whole career thus far with a broad range of experiences ranging from animal sanctuaries to AZA accredited zoos. In these facilities, I have taken part in essential husbandry activities such as diet preparation and distribution, medicating ill or geriatric animals, animal training and veterinary procedures, and more. I have also continuously provided excellent guest services and fostered positive interactions. I am a member of both the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and the American Association of Zookeepers (AAZK) and have attended AZA annual conferences gaining further insights into animal welfare, conservation, education, zoo management, and other knowledge of working in zoological institutions that I seek to grow my own knowledge and to share with others in the field.
