In my professional career, I seek to bring value to the organizations I am in by dedicating myself to working with authentic teams that have a passion for solving the needs of clients. Both in my personal projects and professional work, I seek to leverage my creativity and technical skills to design and develop solutions that use the limitless possibilities of software to help clients with the problems they face.Both at my internship at Text-Em-All (TEA) and my participation in the Zachry Leadership Program (ZLP), I learned the importance of working with teams that are unified toward a common goal. At Text-Em-All, I experienced a culture that values passionate discussion, authentic investment, and honest transparency in teams as they work to improve the TEA experience for its customers. In ZLP, I was exposed to literature, case studies, unique leadership development activities, and classroom discussion that enforced the importance of TEA's values in creating teams that accomplish great things.Through my participation in the Undergraduate Research Scholars Program at Texas A&M University and my work for TEA, I learned how to develop software that is centered around solving a problem for customers. In my research, I developed a prototype application for streamlining the typing of complex mathematical expressions, and observed user responses to determine areas for improvement. At TEA, I took part in the full development cycle of a project, from determining a user's need, implementing a solution for it, and making adjustments based on customer feedback.
