I serve as a SME on Ground Warfare, Special Reconnaissance, Sniper Operations and Low Visibility Operations. It is the responsibility of the T Cell to train Marine Special Operations Personnel in mission essential tasks and to assist the Command to sustain proficiency in already acquired skills. Besides leading training the T Cell is responsible for developing, refining and resourcing Company level training packages.

Performs and teaches tasks in demolitions, explosives, improvised munitions, U.S. and foreign landmines, mine/counter-mine operations, construction, field fortification, bridging, rigging, electrical wiring, reconnaissance, target analysis and civil action projects. Instructs and performs land and water navigation duties by interpreting maps, overlays, photos, charts and using standard and nonstandard navigational techniques and equipment. Plans, teaches and performs sabotage operations with standard, nonstandard and improvised munitions and explosives. Plans, prepares and conducts the target portion of the area study and conducts briefings, briefbacks and debriefings. Supervises combat engineering functions when conducting split-detachment operations and missions. Works extensively with foreign troops and citizens in order to accomplish directed tasks. Accustomed to working and operating in austere conditions with little to no support.

Serves as the Division Equal Opportunity (EO) Operations NCO and EO Advisor; assists in the implementation of the EO program; receives and processes complaints; conducts staff assistance visits to subordinate brigades/units; and disseminates EO policies and guidance to over 2,200 Soldiers and Family members within the 5th Special Forces Group (A); coordinates and instructs the 60-80-hour Division Equal Opportunity Leaders Course; quarterly collects, organizes, and interprets demographic EO data to determine inequitable management practices; plans, coordinates, and implements all Group-level ethnic observances to include requisitioning guest speakers.

Leads a Airborne light mortar section. Provides tactical and technical guidance to subordinates and professional support to both subordinates and superiors in the accomplishment of their duties. Receives and issues orders. Ensures collection and proper reporting of intelligence data to unit. Supervises a firing section and various work details. Analyzes terrain. Conducts tactical operations for a squad or larger sized element. Maintains operational security. Prepares, operates, and maintains secure communications equipment. Consolidates and reorganizes a mortar squad. Supervises fire direction center personnel.
