I am currently responsible for the deployment and configuration of the SIEM, vulnerability scanners, FIM, and IDS systems. I assisted in the architecture of the IDS deployment, working with the network engineer team to determine the optimal path of deployment. I am responsible for the software updates across the security appliances. I am also involved in determining if firewall request are requested with the best security posture in mind by researching the ports and known vulnerabilities and either approving or denying said requests.

I was responsible for Incidence Response for the enterprise network with a on-call rotation. I also worked on social engineering campaigns for employee education on best security practices. I worked reviewing email fraud by looking at headers of email messages in order to determine if the messages were malicious.

I was responsible for monitoring the layer 3 and layer 2 network. I would troubleshoot routing protocols, configuration issues, ATM troubles, and IP continuity across the network. I was responsible for troubleshooting with outside service providers to resolve issues that transverse links to other companies. I worked with Cisco, Alcatel, and Ericsson routers and switches and I also work with ATM switches.

I monitored network alarms and network health, place tickets to replace hardware, if needed. I worked with different Service Providers for troubleshooting circuit issues at T1 and DS0 level. I worked on 5E, DMS, and CS2K switches troubleshooting voice issues from a switch layer.

I was responsible for the installation of customer VOIP services and other voice products. I was also the first level escalation for the Voice Installation group. I would work with technicians to troubleshoot service issues on site as well as work with Central Office technicians for troubleshooting. I would also perform translations on the circuits in order to provide service.

I would test T1 circuits for continuity and work with various service providers to troubleshoot and escalate issues. I would also work with outside technicians, troubleshooting issues from the customer premises.
